Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting functions and support the financial operations of the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
- Record and post journal entries accurately and timely.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain general ledger and ensure financial records are accurate.
- Prepare invoices, process payments, and track outstanding balances.
- Support payroll processing and related reporting.
- Generate financial reports for management review.
- Assist with budgeting, audit requests, and special accounting projects.
- Maintain organized financial documentation and records.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Sage, or other accounting software.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and general accounting practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
